Thyroid and thy staff
Lets all say mass.
Mass in the fricking thyroid.
Am I toasty like Renquist? Probably not. Anaplastic thyroid cancer, which typically results in death within 11 months,
is pretty much the worst case scenario, but it's also the rarest and least likely, even given my clinical picture which includes symptoms that are more concerning for malignancy.
I've been complaining of them - a feeling of tension and fullness on one side of my neck, with pain and voice changes, for two years now... since about the time this blog appeared in 2004.
And I have a tale to tell about how these complaints were managed...that's for another day.
Somebody tell a joke

A little guy walks into a bar and slips on some vomit. Minutes later a big guy walks into the bar and slips on the vomit as well. The little guy says, "I just did that." The big guy then beats the little guy up.
